Finca Biniagual Gran Verán ’16
Some call him virile, others compare him with Don Juan... Gran Verán combines the Manto Negro's slimness with Syrah's power and is definitely a fiery Majorcan only a few will be able to resist.
A complex and deep nose with fruity notes of ripe cherries, paired with smokey and toasted flavours and some eucalyptus, clove, and coffee. At the palate, noble and soft, with round, soft tannins. A silky elegance with a persisting aftertaste.
A wine produced with the very best grapes from our own vineyards. The grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes of 12 kg. After the first selection in the vineyard, the grapes pass a second selection process in the cellar before they are fermented partly in French oak barrels, partly in stainless steel tanks. After the alcoholic fermentation, the malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels.
For the aging process of 18 months, we use new, medium toasted French oak barrels with a capacity of 225 liters.
